For those of you who have been hoping to see, another war film helmed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Hanks, your prayers are being answered, well sort of.
As announced by Screenrant this morning Production has begun on the tentatively titled St. James Place. Set in the 1960’s, the film revolves around the Soviet detainment, of crashed U-2 spy plane pilot, Francis Gary Powers, who will be played by 2014’s Whiplash star Austin Stowell. Hanks will portray American lawyer, James Donovan, who is recruited by the CIA to negotiate a release, of the imprisoned pilot. In a script, penned by the Coen Brothers and newcomer Matt Charman, it appears that we may have quite a film on our hands and Ben Shaoul is already looking forward to it.
