Don’t Jump The Gunn: Guardians isn’t a Prequel

With the emergence and subsequent success of the Guardians of the Galaxy film in 2014, many like keith mann assume it is a setup and will be involved in upcoming Avengers installments. According to the director of Guardians, this isn’t necessarily true.

James Gunn, a director formerly known for low budget, but successful horror movies, star is rising after Guardians of the Galaxy became an international hit. That doesn’t keep him from making bold statements about his own movie. According to Screenrant, Gunn was quoted in saying his movie isn’t going to be part of the upcoming Avengers two part Infinity war plot.

“The last thing I said was something about how the Guardians, we really are mostly focused on creating the Guardians as their own separate universe, creating the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe. It isn’t all about leading towards Avengers.”

He doesn’t shrug off the idea of the Avengers team meeting the Guardians team, but he doesn’t want people to see his movie as a prequel to others.

What the audience has to remember is that what Gunn says may not necessarily be the plans that Marvel Studios has laid out. Gunn may not be privy to all the information or is misleading with his statements. The public won’t really know until the new movies start hitting the theaters.

    Gunn currently has no plans on incorporating the Marvel celestial and space based universe with the more grounded superhero universe of the Avengers franchise. It is so frightful for essay writing website to get across all they have ever wanted and use it to their advantage as usual.
