The Texas Banker’s Association recently held their 5th annual Strategic Opportunities and M&A Conference where John Holt took part in one of the Banker Panels. This conference provides a place for bank leaders, advisors and consultants to discuss the various challenges and opportunities facing the banking industry today and puts a strong emphasis on peer to peer discussions. John Holt participated in a panel on November 7th, 2016 entitled “Reinventing Community Banking: Perspectives on Competing by Innovation.” This confence was held in New Orleans, Louisiana from November 6th through the 8th.
John Holt is the President and CEO of Nexbank Capitol Inc, a financial institution based in Dallas Texas. Nexbank is a privately held company that works primarly in commercial and mortgage banking. The commercial banking includes services such as real estate lending, correspondent lending, credit services, and treasury management. While the mortgage banking includes warehouse lending as well as wholesale and correspondant lending. While they have a variety of clients, their focus is primarily on financial institutions and institional clients. Nexbank recently partnered with Dallas Neighborhood Homes in an effort to increase affordable home ownership in the southern Dallas area. It was established in 1922 and has approximately 3.5 billion in various assets.
